Empathy first
No advice, no fixing, no judgement. Your listener stays with you while you say what you need to say.
Most people never say it out loud. They carry it, hide it, delay it — until it’s too heavy. TalkOut is a private place to set some of it down, with a real person who listens.
In 2023, our founder watched a close friend struggle alone for eight months before reaching out for help. The barriers were real: cost, stigma, language, and waiting lists. By the time support arrived, the damage ran deep.
TalkOut was built to remove those barriers. Not by replacing therapists, but by filling the wide space between “I’m fine” and a clinical appointment.
We train peer listeners in empathy and active listening, with strict confidentiality and ongoing supervision. We are not therapy. We are the conversation that often makes the next step possible.
